If you weren’t able to make it to the Street on 4/5/08, you missed the announcement that, after a long search, we have found the person who will be joining the staff of Mercy Street this summer – Gregg Taylor.

Gregg has been serving as the Director of the Wesley Foundation (the Methodist Church’s on-campus organization) at the University of Arkansas for the past 17 years. He is married to Amy, and they have 4 children: Cody, 16; Cameron, 14; Campbell, 4; Mallory, 11 months. We both know Gregg, and we respect his character, his integrity, his leadership gifts and missional vision. He is a man who keeps the main thing the main thing: he loves God and people – especially those on the margins of life. The staff of Mercy Street and the search committee are excited that Gregg accepted the invitation to come be a part of our messy community – and Gregg and Amy are equally excited to come. We will let you know in the days to come how you can help welcome them to Houston and to Mercy Street.
